Please note we are not responsible and unfortunately have no control over the weather or personal occurrences. PLEASE RESERVE RESPONSIBLY.
When you make a reservation we loyally hold that time for you and no one else forsaking all other sales. Our livelihood is dependent on guests honoring their commitment. Unlike retail sale products that can be restocked, our product is time and once passed can not be sold again.

A short stay is one where you leave earlier than your reserved time.

Cancellations on STANDARD ROOMS can be made up to 1 WEEK prior to arrival date. Cancellation after that time will result in a room full stay charge - NO EXCEPTIONS. Reservations made within a week or less are absolute and cannot be canceled. Cancellations on KITCHEN SUITES can be made up to 1 MONTH prior to the arrival date. Cancellation after that time will result in a room full stay charge - NO EXCEPTIONS. Reservations made on a Kitchen Suite within a month or less are absolute and cannot be canceled.

NO SHOW reservations will also result in a room full stay charge - NO EXCEPTIONS.

PAY NOW & SAVE SPECIALS are final & NON-REFUNDABLE.

Any changes or cancellations must be made by calling us DIRECTLY.

Parking spots are in front of your room. Space is limited to 1 vehicle per room. Please be courteous to other guests. We do have room on the side for larger trucks and your 4x4 toys and trailers if needed just give us a heads up.

We do not, but don't worry! Our wonderful neighbors (right next door to us) that own Tyelene's Restaurant do 😊🍳🥓🥙

IS DAILY HOUSEKEEPING PROVIDED? 
WE ARE ENERGY & ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS.

There is no daily housekeeping but we will gladly refresh towels & toiletries upon request. We take great pride in keeping our home and your home away from home clean and sanitized on a daily basis. Bedding will always be clean & smelling fresh when you arrive. We also use a fabric sanitizer before and after each bed is made 💤🌙

DO YOU ALLOW DAY VISITORS?

Yes, visitors are welcome to be with friends and family staying with us. enjoy the beach, cook out, etc. Overnight guests CANNOT exceed the room occupancy max. Moose Resort does it's best to provide a safe clean environment for our guests. Guests are fully responsible for their own and their visitors conduct. Please let your guest know that property use is AT THEIR OWN RISK.

CAN I SMOKE IN MY ROOM?
NO SMOKING OF ANY TYPE IN ANY ROOMS. 

This is a Michigan Lodging Law. If you smoke in a room there will be a $200.00 charge. Smoking is permitted on the property. We just ask you be courteous to other guests and dispose of your cigarette butts properly (receptacles are provided). With the new Michigan Cannabis laws we ask you please consider others and use in non conspicuous areas and of course never in rooms!

​BUGS? YUCK!

​Not all bugs are created equal. We can totally live with the ones that don't bite. We live in Da UP so don't be surprised and come prepared. We are surrounded by forests and various sized bodies of water. There are mosquitoes and others! Lots of them...
​Mayflies too - those guys are considered a nuisance but we personally think they are very cool, they don't bite, their presence not only tells us what season it is, but also confirms the quality of water of which they come from! Other bugs & critters live here too. We try our best to prevent most of those unwanted visitors from bugging you (HA see what we did there?) and work with a company that treats the entire perimeter of our resort on a regular basis but we cannot completely prevent bugs from finding their way to get to you and us whether it's outside or inside especially if we leave the windows and doors open. With all that being said please remember that we are not and cannot be responsible for insect bites. Please bring a bug spray to help protect you and don't forget your sunscreen for those amazing warm sunny days 🌞

​MOOSE RESORT is an AT YOUR OWN RISK PROPERTY

Prior to booking understand that all amenities provided for guest use are AT YOUR OWN RISK and that you willingly assume all risks.
Private beach area does not have any form of lifeguard or regulated supervision. All guests should be VERY aware when crossing the highway separating the main property from the beach area. Children must be accompanied to and while at the beach. Use of beach, picnic areas, are at your own risk. US Highway 2 is a 2 lane highway speed limit 65.  The Highway can get pretty busy in the summer as it is the main east west southern corridor in the Upper Peninsula. Although at night it calms quite nicely as people settle in to their destinations. Our facility was built in 1951 originally as a log structure over time there were some major remodeling and of course our ongoing improvements. The effect of additional drywall and insulation added a pretty good benefit to noise reduction the thick walls between rooms (most are 8" inch thick or more) create a great barrier for room to room sound transmission. The sounds of the highway are mitigated nicely but you will still hear a truck or a loud Harley 😊 
They will be quite muted but it is the nature of the facility considering the proximity to the road. Overall If you have stayed at off the road motels and hotels before, we think you will be pleasantly surprised with our rooms sound quality. Even as every room has a panoramic view of Big Bay we have such an inviting lakefront across the road we would most definitely think you would want to get over there. As far as "how safe it is to cross?" We do have a sweeping view left and right on the road and we encourage people to take their time and just be aware. With the crossing in mind we provide a portable toilet every summer on the lakeside to reduce the number of crossing's for families enjoying the beach/park area. HEATING & COOLING

All of our rooms are seasonally equipped with window AC units during the warmest months.
During the cooler months and for those chilly nights our wall heating units will keep you nice & toasty.
