​We are the closest lodging on US Highway 2 to Fayette State Park which is just south of us, Palms Brook State Park, or Kitch-iti-kipi (Big Spring) is just to the east of us. Manistique is 16 miles to the east and has many fun things to do. Moose Resort is within an easy 1 hour drive north to Pictured Rocks National Lake-Shore in Munising with Miners Castle, Miners Beach, Miners Falls, along with the Glass Bottom Boat Tours, the Paddling Michigan Kayak Tours, Pictured Rocks Cruises and great scenery. We are located at the base of the Garden Peninsula near Garden Michigan.

​With a fresh renovation and a 70 year old story, Moose Resort is a perfectly nostalgic yet modern accommodation.

​Moose Resort (formerly Tyelene's Motel) was built in 1951 by Bud Winter and ran as a successful vacation spot for over six decades. 
Originally the Motel which was log at the time, and the restaurant next door were all one property but in time the properties were separated and the cabins removed. We have done a LOT of remodeling and keep on improving as much as we can for our wonderful guests and ourselves.
